Most people land on our products page already knowing they need "packaging" but not which of the 11 categories actually fits what they sell. That's a reasonable place to get stuck — a cake box and a mailer box solve completely different problems, and ordering the wrong one usually means discovering that the hard way, mid-fulfillment, with stock already committed. This guide is the decision framework we'd walk you through on WhatsApp anyway, written out so you can work through it yourself first.

Start With What You're Actually Shipping or Selling

The fastest way to the right category is matching your product type directly — not browsing all 11 and guessing:

  • Shipping an online order (any product)Mailer Boxes for anything that needs structure, or Packaging Accessories (poly mailers, bubble mailers) for lighter, non-fragile items. See our poly mailers vs. boxes guide if you're between the two.
  • Cakes, cupcakes, cookies or bakery itemsCake Boxes — window boxes, cupcake trays, cookie and dessert boxes, cake bags.
  • Mithai, sweets or festive confectioneryMithai & Confectionery — 500g to 2kg, folding or rigid premium.
  • Pizza or hot food deliveryFood Packaging — ventilated pizza boxes plus cake bags.
  • Jewellery, rings, earrings or small accessoriesJewellery Boxes — 9 folding-card styles in 350 GSM card.
  • Soap, skincare or cosmeticsSoap & Personal Care for boxes, wrappers and sleeves, plus Stickers & Labels for jar and bottle labels.
  • Bottled oils, sauces or gift-set liquidsOils & Liquids — bottle carriers, neck tags, cap seals.
  • Premium gifting, hampers or retail presentationSpecialty Items — rigid magnetic boxes, pillow boxes, gable boxes, hang tags.
  • Business stationery (cards, letterheads, invitations, menus) → Business Printing.
  • Product or shipping labels for anything aboveStickers & Labels — the one category with live, instant pricing.

If your product genuinely spans two categories — say, a bakery shipping cakes nationwide needs both cake boxes for the product and mailer-style reinforcement for the courier trip — that's normal, and it's exactly what a WhatsApp conversation with us sorts out faster than trying to force one category to cover both jobs.

Live Pricing vs. Quote-Based — Know Which One You're Looking At

Three categories show real, instant pricing on the site: Stickers & Labels, Thank You Cards, and Clothing Tags. Configure your size and quantity and the price is right there, no back-and-forth needed.

Every other category — all 9 box and packaging categories — is quote-based. That's not a sales tactic; box pricing genuinely depends on board weight, finishing, insert choice and current material costs in a way that doesn't compress into a fixed online price list honestly. Send your size, quantity and finishing preferences on WhatsApp and we confirm an exact number, usually within business hours.

Minimum Order Quantities, Realistically

  • 100 pieces — Stickers & Labels, Thank You Cards, Clothing Tags. These print digitally, so small runs are genuinely economical.
  • 1,000 pieces per style — every quote-based box category (Mailer Boxes, Cake Boxes, Jewellery Boxes, Food Packaging, Mithai & Confectionery, Soap & Personal Care, Oils & Liquids, Specialty Items, Business Printing). This is a real offset-printing minimum, not an arbitrary number — the setup cost per print run only makes sense at that volume.
  • Varies by item — Packaging Accessories (poly mailers, bubble mailers, tape, pouches). This category mixes offset-printed items with non-printed substrates whose minimums genuinely differ, so we confirm the real number per item rather than quoting one figure that would be wrong for half the category.

If 1,000 pieces is more than you need right now, the honest options are: order plain (unprinted) stock to bridge the gap, use Stickers & Labels to brand plain boxes without committing to a full print run, or wait until your volume genuinely supports the minimum. We won't tell you 1,000 is negotiable when it isn't — the print economics don't change because an order is smaller.

Plain vs. Printed — You're Not Locked Into Custom Branding

Every quote-based box category is available plain (unprinted) as well as full-colour printed with your branding. Plain is the faster, lower-cost route if you're testing a new product line, not ready to commit to artwork, or simply don't need branded packaging for that particular item. It's a real, standing option — not a fallback we mention reluctantly.

Common Mistakes First-Time Buyers Make

  • Ordering a full 1,000-piece printed run before confirming size against a real sample — always request a sample or check the size guide first.
  • Assuming every category has live pricing like Stickers & Labels does, then being surprised a box quote takes a WhatsApp conversation.
  • Picking a category based on the product's final use rather than what it's actually made of — e.g., ordering Specialty Items rigid boxes for something that needs the courier-durability of a Mailer Box instead.
  • Not asking about plain/unprinted stock when a full custom print run isn't the right call yet.

Once you know your category, our buying guide for that specific category (every one of the 9 quote-based categories has one) goes deeper on sizes, board options and finishing. If you're prepping artwork for whichever category you land on, our artwork preparation guide covers the file requirements before you submit a design.
