The smallest box in the range
At 6 x 6 x 4 inches, the 0.5 lb Cake Box is the entry point of our five-size cake box range -- built for bento-style mini cakes, a small personal cake, or a single-tier design for two to three people. It's also the size most home bakers reach for when testing a new flavour or design before committing board and print budget to a larger run.
If you're routinely serving more than two or three people, the 1 lb Cake Box (8 x 8 x 4 in) is the more common everyday size -- worth comparing before you commit to a print run at this size.
Food-grade board, built to fold clean
Every box in the range is made from food-grade SBS/Ivory board -- a solid, single-ply board finished bright white on the print side and grey on the reverse, chosen across the bakery packaging industry for its stiff, clean fold and consistent print surface. At this smaller size the board holds its shape well without extra reinforcement, which keeps the box light for delivery riders carrying multiple orders.
It's worth noting this is a flat-bottom cake box, not a cavity tray -- if you're packaging cupcakes rather than a whole cake, our dedicated Cupcake Boxes (4, 6 and 12-cavity) hold them upright and separated in a way this box isn't designed for.
